However, speed depends on a number of factors, such as CPU speed, OS, available memory, encryption method used to protect the document, program priority, number of simultaneously active attack profiles, filters (dictionary attack), etc.

Most passwords, except for passwords to open, are recovered instantly. Recovery of passwords to open can take some time. You can track speed in the Benchmark window that appears by pressing the Benchmark window in the main toolbar or by selecting 'Tools / Performance benchmark...' in the main menu.

A. Yes, if your computer meets the following system requirements:

• Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista
• 4-10 MB of free disk space available

The software performance will be higher if:

• you run Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 or newer;
• you have a multiprocessor and/or multicore system;
• your processor supports the following technologies: MMX, MMX+, 3DNow, 3DNow+, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4

A. Yes, you can always download a demo version of any Password Solutions software from the Download page. It will recover all passwords, but you can only view and use passwords of 3 or less characters. This will let you make sure the software will work for you before you have to pay.

A. The demo version limitations are as follows:

• All passwords are recovered, but you can only view and use passwords of 3 or less characters
• Passwords longer than 3 characters cannot be added to the cache
• Masks cannot exceed 6 characters in length
• Automatic broadening of search criteria is not available
• Information about the database owner is recovered only partially
• People who purchased full versions of our software receive priority technical support
